Why Quicken 2019 on Mac Keeps Asking for Password

As the world shifts towards remote work, many of us have encountered new challenges in maintaining our computer systems' stability. One such issue that has plagued me is why Quicken 2019 on my MacBook Pro keeps asking for a password after each reboot.

Initially, I didn't experience any issues with my MacBook Pro, whether it was the 2008, 2011, or 2014 model. However, since I started working from home (WFH), I've noticed that I need to reboot my laptop daily to avoid freezes and kernel panics. This is a stark contrast to when I only needed to restart my computer once a week.

In the past, I had clean installs of new operating systems on each of these machines, yet I still required regular reboots. But what's interesting is that this problem seems specific to laptops, particularly Apple MacBook Pros. For instance, when I used a Windows desktop for work, it ran continuously for about 1.5 years during the COVID-19 pandemic before requiring a reboot.

Before 2012, I used to run both Windows and Apple desktops for a year or so without any issues between reboots. This makes me wonder if there's something unique about laptops that contributes to this problem. Whatever the reason, it's clear that Quicken 2019 on my MacBook Pro needs more frequent reboots than usual.
