Download Space Engineers Programmable Block for Free: What's New in Latest Update

Space Engineers has released a new update that brings several exciting features and bug fixes to the game. In this latest update, players can now download the programmable block for free, which was previously only available as part of the game's expansion pack.

In addition to the new downloadable content, the update also includes several bug fixes that should improve overall gameplay performance. For example, the blueprint screen has been fixed to correctly manage newly subscribed items, and an Out of Memory crash on Xbox has been addressed.

Other bug fixes include a crash when suspending an Xbox game while in a lobby, as well as another crash when spawning predefined asteroid small overhangs. Additionally, a crash that occurred when resuming an Xbox game after suspending it in a lobby has also been fixed.

To improve overall performance, decals have been optimized, including wheel imprints and bullet holes. These changes should result in less strain on system resources and fewer crashes.

In terms of new features, players can now edit campaign and scenario settings again - although this is only available in experimental mode for the time being. A new piston head block has also been added to the game, as well as options to mute specific players in text chat and across platforms.

The update also includes support for mod.io on dedicated servers and adds mod support to the Xbox version of the game (although certain restrictions apply). Additionally, a new category has been added to the PC Join screen server browser, allowing players to switch between Steam and Epic Online Services.

Finally, crossplay between PC and Xbox players is now available, making it easier for players across different platforms to build, create, and imagine together.
